les aventures continuent cette fois ci en nouvelle caledonie

Juju fait de bon resultats en freestyle 9 ieme et 2iem en board off mais sur le speed crossing ?

OUi, petit prob 1min après le départ, aile larguer, le temps de redécoller et de rattraper tout le monde je finis 4eme.
Sur de la LD dans 30 nds, c'est bien mieux le TT pour du travers largue !

Cà y est, l'IKA a remis la copie de son championnat du monde, toujours en gue-guerre avec le PKRA sur l'appelation "World Champion"

Championship Rules 2011 – Course Racing
1. Number of Races; Time Limits and Target Times; Wind Speeds
a. Number of Races
i. No more than 8 races per day per fleet shall be raced
ii. No more than 3 races shall be raced back to back
b. Time Limits and Target Times (may be adjusted depending on conditions)
i. The time limit for the first finisher is 30 minutes
ii. The time limit for the first racer to reach the first mark is 10 minutes
iii. The target time for the first finisher is 15 minutes
iv. The finish time limit shall be 10 minutes depending on fleet and conditions
v. Finish times shall be taken separately for each division
c. Wind Speeds
i. If the wind speed is less than 5 knots average in the starting area at any time
during the last minute prior to the starting signal, the start shall be
postponed and a new starting sequence initiated as soon as the wind
strength is sufficient.
ii. Wind speeds shall be taken from a drifting boat from approximately 2 meters
above the sea surface. If a drifting boat is not available, the current shall be
measured and calculated to establish the minimum wind speed requirement.
iii. The race shall be abandoned if a notable number of competitors is capsized
due to insufficient wind. This decision, taken by the race officer, is not
appealable and not a reason for a request for redress.
2. Fleet or Group Racing
a. Where there are 60 or fewer competitors registered, they shall race together in one
fleet
b. Where there are between 61 and 100 competitors entered, the class representative
shall decide whether they shall race in one fleet or if the fleet shall be separated by
division
c. Where there are more than 100 competitors registered in one division, they shall
race in groups in a qualifying series followed by a final series
d. For group racing, the competitors of each division shall be divided into two, three or
four groups of equal ability
e. The decision of the class representative is final
3. Courses
a. Recommended courses are published on the class website and include:
i. Windward/Leeward
ii. Windward/Leeward with Offset‐Mark
iii. Windward/Leeward with Leeward Gates
iv. Box‐Course
v. M‐Course
vi. Triangle
vii. And their variations
b. The course area is defined as an area extending 75 meters beyond the course
including the starting line and its extensions
4. The Start
a. Races shall be started with the following system:
The start boat is flying the orange flag for full fleet racing, for group and division
racing each group or division shall be assigned a separate identification flag. This
division flag shall be displayed from 1 minute before the concerned start sequence
and be lowered after a valid start.
red flag up Warning 5 minutes to the start
red flag removed, yellow flag up Preparatory 4 minutes to the start
yellow flag removed 1 minute to the start
green flag up Starting start
b. Recalls
Races shall only use general recalls. The black flag rule is enforced for every start
5. Scoring and Discards
a. Scoring shall be in accordance with Appendix BB – Alternative Low Point System
b. Discards shall be as follows:
1‐3 races: 0 discards
4‐6 races: 1 discard
7‐10 races: 2 discards
11‐15 races: 3 discards
16 and more races: 4 discards
6. Production Division
Competitors competing on equipment meeting the following criteria shall be scored in the
overall ranking and separately in a production‐only division. The IKA will maintain a separate
production world ranking consisting of results achieved in the production class throughout
the year 2011.
Equipment needs to be registered through the IKA registration scheme and be listed on the
IKA official production equipment list. They shall use the following box rule:
a. Max length: 1900mm
b. Max width: 700mm
c. Minimum weight: 4 kg for directional boards
d. Number of Fins / Retractable Fins: no restriction
e. Max Fin depth: 500mm
f. Max Kite area: 19sqm
g. Max number of boards to be registered per event: 1
h. Max number of kites to be registered per event: 3
i. Minimum number of similar boards produced to be considered production: 50
7. Age Division
a. Youth: under 18 years of age in the year of the competition
b. Senior: open to competitors of all ages
c. Master: between 35 and 44 years of age in the year of the competition
d. Grand Master: 45+ years of age in the year of the competition
A minimum of 5 entries in an age division is required to constitute this division.

H.sujet : C'est bien beau tout ça, mais comme il n'y a pas encore de commission jauge officielle à l'IKA, tout le monde pourra courir avec ce qu'il veut en toute légalité En cas de protest auprès du jury, celui-ci ne pourra que constater l'absence de cette commission. C'est comme ça que ça a été jugé l'année dernière en champ de France.
Ça s'appelle: se donner les moyens!

ce qui veut dire que le foil peut s'aligner sur le championat du monde, sans possibilite d'etre DSQ :o
